Extra Easy Hummus

I am new to hummus but when I stumbled upon this recipe the other day, I knew I just had to try it.  The kids loved it!  So we will be making it often for snacks around here. We used it with crackers, carrots, cucumbers.etc.   I adapted it from Donalyn at allrecipes.com.  I thought I would share it with you.  Enjoy!

Extra Easy Hummus

Ingredients

  • 1 (15 ounce) can garbanzo beans, drained, liquid reserved
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Directions

In a blender or food processor combine garbanzo beans, garlic, cumin, salt and olive oil.  Blend on low speed, gradually adding reserved bean liquid, until desired consistency is achieved.
